Claudiu $lot$ writeup – OmniCTF 2026 Finals

This is a writeup for the challenge Claudiu $lot$, an AI hacking challenge I created for the Finals phase of OmniCTF 2026.

We are given a Discord bot that has AI in the backend, and a command we can run on the AI, /roll.

By running /roll in the dedicated channel for the challenge or in the bot’s DMs we will get a slots machine animation, then get a response: either a win, if you hit 777, or a loss if you hit anything else. Along with the slots machine output, we can see the odds to win: 7/77777 or 1/11111.

By talking with the AI more we can find out he has access to our odds and can change them. After that, people can tell the AI to change their odds to something like 1/1 and get the flag after a roll. After a successful roll we get the flag in DMs: OmniCTF{the_house_always_wins_until_777}
